CAPTAIN ~9-10 years old. Good with kids and dogs. Good with seniors/elderly. Apartment appropriate. Cats TBD.GSRA adopts to residents of VA NC and SC onlyHello my name is Captain and my foster Mom says I am a perfect older gentleman. I was found tied to a tree with a large metal chain now I know that sounds sad but that has not made me dislike people. I love everyone I meet. Especially if they have treats or a ball. I do not like to be crated. and unfortunately my foster parents learned that the hard way when I broke the door off. I just really enjoy sleeping on a comfy floor and being near. my people. I would do best in a house or an apartment with NO stairs. Being an older distinguished gentleman stairs are a bit toughbecause of my arthritis and hips. I still love to go on walks but no hiking or jogging. I do get along with my foster fur-sister but do not really sure how to play right now. I would love to be the only dog in the house so you can spoil me rotten in my golden days. I do not havethe best house manners right now because it is all new to me. So don't be mad if Igo into an open pantry and try to help myself! No worries I do correct easily with a firmNO!. If you want someone to make you their world I am totally your guy. Don't let my age fool you. I am young at heart and I've got a ton of love left to give!PLEASE NOTE: Captain will not be placed in an adoptive home until medically cleared as we are addressing some ear issues and will be seeing a specialist. After that he will need to go thru heartworm treatment.
