Fancy
We adopted “Fancy” August 16, 2009. How fortunate we have been to have “Fancy” in our lives. We don’t know what her life was before she came to us, other than abusive; however, with love, understanding and patience she blossomed. Loved our mountain place and the creek that flows on the property. Silly dog would put her entire head under the water and find rocks, carry found rocks to a certain spot to build her own damn. Never mind that we and the grandchildren were building a damn – “Fancy” was determined to build her own. How very proud she was of her rock pile!! Speaking of younger grandchildren and children in general she was gentle and patient with them. With the grandchildren in the house we explained to them her chosen safe and secure spots and that when she was in those places the children must respect her and leave her alone – they did and all was right with the world. “Fancy” even decided that “Buttons” our Havenese wasn’t so bad, as well as, she became VERY TOLERANT with our two cats. She would even curl up with one of them. We had “Fancy” put to rest January 12, 2015 as her back legs had developed a nerve disorder that got progressively worse. Unable to climb stairs or stand, We would carry her up and down the stairs to go out or to sleep with us at night. The Vet who had been caring for her helped in this very difficult decision. Her yelps of joy upon our coming through the front door we can sill hear!! She was a companion, a faithful friend and will be missed. Your loving Forever Family

Fred
Fred has been our protector since he was four weeks old. He was such a big part of us I don't know how long it will take to feel whole again. He was always there no matter what was needed, a big face lick or just a furry head to pet. We all love you so much Fred......I can't imagine camping without you. Rest in peace my dear friend.
