He was my greatest companion. He went everywhere with me. we have cats and he even guarded them. They would get kinda crabby with him but he just backed away. We gave him his own couch to sleep on because we had another couch. He had a bed right next to my bed. He was a huge protector - fierce if he didn't know you but very gentle if he did. Everybody loved Major. He did his job tho, we had a workman working on the house and Major was used to him, but one day he came carrying drugs and Major went into drug dog mode, the guy was so scared. He is missed terribly and he has been cremated and is sitting on his couch, I miss you so much babe, it's not the same without you. Hope you're up there chilling with Buddy, Sonny and Grandpa. I know you're looking over us and Ozzi my angel. I love you R.I.P. <3 I love you sooo much, I don't know what I am going to do with out you by my side. Have fun playing with Red and the rest of your brothers and sisters...and go give great-grand-pa a big wet kiss. We'll always love you! We love and miss you every day buddy, our 6 hearts are still breaking because we don't have our bear to wake us up in the morning or greet us at the door. There will never be another dog that lights up our lives quite like you did. We only had you for a short period of time but you will always have a special place in the Dunn house. Hold down the floor in Heaven. Scruffy was adopted by my oldest son Kenny in Wilmington when he was 2 (2007) from a family that didn't want him any longer. He immediately took to Kenny and they became best friends. Kenny moved home to get married and Scruffy came to live with us in 2010 and we immediately loved him as our own. He made great friends with our dog Bo and they were cohorts in crime. Scruffy never missed a meal and if so reminded us that we were behind our time. I can't say enough about how we felt about him....he was this gentle giant who loved us and cared for us. We lost our beautiful, loving Scruffy to bone cancer in August 2011. He gave it the courageous fight. We miss him terribly and think of him daily. Scruffy loved to eat, walk, play and eat. :-) He was a big goof ball that loved us as we loved him.
