REX I been thinking about you a lot and I had a great time with you and even ALVIN. I had lots in trouble in 4 grade but now I feel comfort. I miss you a lot. See you over the rainbow bridge. P.S You're always with me and say 'Hi" to my family up there. See you later. Love, Monse and the Family We came across Asia's picture 4 years ago, and knew she was meant to be ours. Cathie Harmon graciously agreed to let us adopt her, as we promised to take the best care of her that we possibly could. She filled our lives with laughter, joy, and security every single day. When our son was born, she became his devoted guardian. She stuck by my side through 3 military deployments, and moves to 2 different states, and was best friends with her canine sister Isabella. Her sense of humor could not be matched, greeting us at the door each time with a toy, or just walking by to give a kiss on the backs of our legs when we were doing dishes. Sadly, she was diagnosed with osteosarcoma (bone cancer) in July of 2011. She fought through a hind leg amputation, chemotherapy, and overcame every challenge before her. Sadly, the cancer returned almost exactly one year later, and she has now crossed the rainbow bridge. She was truly irreplaceable will be missed immensely, but remembered forever. Max came into our lives during a time that we needed him as much as he needed us. He was malnourished, abandoned and understandably shy. I thought I was adopting him to protect us, having just gone through a divorce and being home alone with young kids. He did protect us, but more importantly he became loyal shadow. I never felt alone with him there. Even when he was hiding in the tub because of the thunder (what a surprise to see that big black nose poking out the shower curtain!). Always a joker, he loved to goose me and run. . . just far enough away to turn around and "grin" at me. He is infamous on our street for being the dog that will climb over a fence like a monkey unless the gate was open, then he would just sit in the open gate and look out, never leaving the back yard until invited. RIP my friend, you were loved and will be sorely missed. You guys helped us find Jake 12 years ago through a rescue in South Carolina when we submitted an adoption application. Someone had called that day about a 6 month old puppy that needed a home. That ended up being Jake. We had him for 12 great years, but unfortunately we had to let him pass today due to a ruptured disc and degenerative disc disease. Just wanted to thank you. I have attached a picture for your memorial wall on your website. Thank you again. I had adopted Zeus from the Doc Williams SPCA just 3 days after I had lost my 11 year old GSD/Lab mix, Bruno to cancer. Zeus stood on my foot while I was talking to the tech about him. That's how I knew he had to come home with me. He loved everyone. He was about 2 years old then. The next year we started at Trident Hospital as a Pet Therapy Team. For 8 years we did this. He would get so excited when I would get his vest out. He loved it and he was greatly loved by the staff and visitors and patients. He also loved to go camping in our motorhome. Once at the campground his spot was on the dash board so he could look out. It was so much fun to watch people walking and stop to do a double-take to make sure they were seeing such a big dog, 87 lbs. He was such a comfort to all of us. He loved my youngest granddaughter who was born 2 and 1/2 months early and only weighed 3 lbs. Once she could start crawling & walking , he was with her. I hated to have to put him to sleep but I could by his eyes he was no longer happy and could not get up by himself. That was just Fri, Aug 3, 2012 and there hasn't been a day yet that I haven't shed a tear missing him so much. His "killing" his toy always brought a laugh and smile.
