Shadow
We adopted Shadow form Wake County SPCA. She was a white German Shepard. We adopted her so Frankie (a white German Shepard we adopted from German Shepard Rescue) would have a friend. They were the best of friends! She was a little crazy! Squirrels, birds, deer, anything, or anyone was allowed in her yard. She would give the alarm @ 3:00am to let us know deer was in the neighbors' yards! Frankie let her know that he didn't care who was in the yard and to please let him sleep!! March 1, 2010 was the saddest day. Her face was swollen. We took her to the vet and began the meds. Then, 2 days later her eyes were "rolling back into her head". We took her back and the vet said she had throat cancer and the pressure was making this happen. She could not see at this point as was bleeding from the eyes. We had to put her down. We love her and dearly miss her. Frankie is doing ok. We talk lots about our girl and when we see a squirrel or bird, we miss Shadow all over again!!!! i adopted Shadow when she was 8 weeks old, she was the most sweetest an loving dog i owned, she got along with every dog ,cat or human around her, loved attintion, wagging her tail always, i had her for 13yrs an had to let her go to heaven on 11-22-2010, i deeply loved her an gave her the best indoor life with kara, {deseased} an recently tahah 4, kara my white german sheperd treated her like her baby, an Shadow in returned treated Tahah like her baby,Black&Tan German sheperd when she was a 8 weeks old...I Miss Shadow so much an i know Tahah does too... thank you my Wonderful Shadow for all the years we had togeher...XO Today is one of the saddest days of my life. I have to say goodbye to the my best friend, Shadow. I've been lucky; he helped me raise both of my daughters and stood by me when my mom crossed over. He would have been 15 next month.....I will be with him until he crosses...........Truly a day I knew was coming but didn't want to face it. Thank you Shadow for being there when I needed you. I will miss you with every beat of my heart...I love you....Now you will be able to play with Bruno again....BFF for you guys...You'll both be healthy again. XOXOXOXOXO Our family adopted Shawnee from the German Shepherd Rescue in 2006. She was a great dog who gave us so much love, friendship, loyalty, and joy. We hope we gave her as much love and happiness and she gave us. Shawnee died unexpectedly only after 6 years with us. They were six wonderful years. We wish we could have had more years with her. You will be in our hearts forever. We love and miss you so much. Shay came to live with us back in October. He quickly took to his new home and family and wagged his way into our hearts. Despite his 90 lb size, he was very gentle, especially with our 6 year old son. He was a great companion and just wanted to be wherever we were. When we found out that he had terminal cancer, we were devastated. During the next few weeks, we continued to love and care for him and did everything we could to keep him comfortable. Almost four weeks after the diagnosis, we made the hardest decision any pet owner will make, knowing that he was not well. On March 1st, Shay's suffering ended and he left this world. Everyday since, we have missed him. Click a letter to find an animal or view all.
