I lost my best friend today, 2/19/2011, 3 days shy of his 13th birthday....He had cancer...
Rex came to us when a fire had burnt down a caretaker's camper, next day a fireman lady brought by a puppy for him whom he didn't want, so a worker was walkin with him by the elephant barn and my husband Joe said this is our new elephant dog and his name is Rex alias a famous trainer...So began the love and devotion he gave our family the rest of his wonderful life... 4ever n r hearts xoxo Ginny

Rex, you were abused before we rescued you and to show your gratefulness for having done so, you excelled and won 1st place in obedience school and the instructor asked me to bring him to every class that she had to show our great you were and oh,how you loved those long rides sitting up proudly on the electric bed in our leisure van purchased just for you because of the spinal cancer that was slowly approaching. You will always be in our heart and tears as we live out the remainder of our lives waiting to meet you, CJ and Chelsea on the Rainbow Bridge. We love and miss you so much Rex.
