Misiu
Misiu was a beast and a pansy all rolled into one. He was truly a member of the family and his loss is still, and always will be, deeply felt. Misiu filled our lives with joy, love, and happiness and, although he shed everywhere, we wouldn't change a thing about him. There will never be a dog as loyal or as loved as Misiu. We will always miss you Misiu Bear

Missy

My Missy girl, she has been at my side since I was 25 and her 12-16 weeks old..GSD X Chow mix (mostly GSD) She was my first rescue (she actually rescued me) Found her as a pup about beat to death by teenagers on the Murchison rd in Fayetteville, tied to a tree with wire..a very bad area in Fayetteville. I took her home and bathed her and she collapsed so I took her to the emergency vet at midnight, maxed a cc out and cleaned out my savings..but it was the best money I could have ever spent. She has been with me ever since, you could not separate us. I drove dump trucks at that time in my life and she rode with me everyday at work, and when I went to dispatch she was my protector. When I traveled home to IA she... was with me.. Only dog I could not contain in the yard when I left, she'd clear any fence to be with me..When I rode away on horse back she'd be with me, understood traffic and when I'd reach town she'd heal to the horse's left rear.. SMARTEST girl I've ever had the pleasure of sharing my life with, saved my life two times (and that's no joke). Not until she could no longer jump the fence or make it more than a couple of miles did she start staying home in the comforts of the house. I had no choice cause she'd would have hurt herself trying to keep up with me. Now to see her a shell of what she use to be, feeble, thin, and her spark gone...well its ripping my heart out. I know other people have been thru this as well...but she's my first and my best friend. I have 5 other girls that live with us now, all have a trait of her...but none will ever replace my Missy girl..God blessed me with a guardian angle and now its time for me to send her home..RIP my dear friend, 12/22/10

Misty Girl & Cocoa Bear & Babitt
For 35 Years I've had the honor of having 3 Shepherds in my life. All have honored and been my best friend. Babitt went over the rainbow in 2006. My Cocoa Bear in 2009. And my Misty Girl left me today a10/25/18 after almost 16 years. I understand not many live quite that long. I'm too old now to bring another wonderful friend into my life, but I will never forget any one of them. Thank you.

Mobley
We lost our dear family member Mobley on Saturday to cancer. He was 11 years old and we are so deeply saddened right now. He left us too soon and too suddenly but will always have a place in our hearts. He was a loving and loyal companion that made our house even more of a home. Back in 1998-2000 I was a volunteer for the German Shepherd Rescue. My future wife, Annette and I were for a brief time a foster home for the rescue. Mobley came to us as a foster as first but we quickly realized that we were meant to be together. We adopted Mobley in 1999 and he has been a member of the family ever since. He loved us as much as we loved him. He went on a lot of exciting adventures with us.... from the mountains to the beach. We needed him as much as he needed us. We will miss him forever.

Molly
With a heavy heart and soul, I want to add Molly Rasmussen to the list of beloved GSDs that have left us alone here........Molly Rasmussen. GSDR&R saved Molly sometime in 1997 and we adopted her in Spring 1998. She has been by my side ever since, as my baby, my friend, my gardening partner, and from 2005-2007, as a working dog working with Delta Society Therapy Dogs. It seems I have never known any different, it's always been "Me and Molly"....but last night, old age, a recent hip surgery and finally, acute kidney failure caused us to have to say good-bye. She had such a peaceful passing, I was so grateful for that!! She had been violently sick all day, and there wasn't going to be any repair of her kidneys, so with her own blood making her sicker and sicker, we asked our wonderful vet to come to the house and help us say good bye. I know that I will see her on another day, and that she will be waiting with Spot and Sandy and my mother and father in law....waiting for me.
