COURTESY LISTING - Please contact person below with inquiries. ~4 years old. Kids TBD. Not good with dogs or cats. Blue Ridge Humane Society Karla Pan Hendersonville, NC Date Posted: 4/30/2016 Xena is a STUNNING 4 year old, female black and tan. She is full-blooded, and does all the quirky sweet things that GSD's are known to do, especially that all-loving GSD "whine"! Xena was turned in by her owner, along with her gorgeous mate, Blitz. These two were malnourished and de-socialized through the years, however, Xena has the smarts that can make her a great pet. She seems to know commands like "sit" and "down," so she's had some training. She walks well on the leash, and besides not showing favors to other doggies and kitties, she has good manners and is a calm dog when other dogs aren't around. It seems that sweet Xena just had no choice but to learn to be strong to survive and protect her puppies which she seems to have had not too long ago. Xena is very used to being with Blitz, however, and gets a little sad when he's not around, but I think that either she needs to be adopted with him, or to a single-dog home until she learns to play fair. A home with a fenced in yard would be great so she can run and play, especially if she is adopted with Blitz. They love playing together. She is a lover to big humans (little humans still need to be assessed). She gives lots of kisses and love! She is a very confident sheppie that just needs to be shown that she's safe and going to get fed and loved every day. She is the love of the of the shelter. She can be your love too!! PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT A GSRA DOG. ONLY CONTACT THIS INDIVIDUAL ABOUT THIS DOG. THE CONTACT HAS NO AFFILIATION WITH GSRA AND GSRA CANNOT ANSWER QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS DOG.
