Male German Shepherd. White. Will be 2 in January. Neutered. UTD on vaccinations. HW Negative. Current on HW prevention.
Pros:
House trained.
Crate trained.
Basic obedience.
Walks well on a leash.
Calm temperament.
Low drive.
Loves tennis balls.
Rides well in a car.
Loyal, loving and affectionate
Not aggressive
Does not bark except at vacuum cleaners.
Cons:
Not good with young children. (May be okay with older, dog Savoy kids.)
Will counter/table surf
Needs more socialization. He likes other dogs, but isn't sure how to play appropriately.
Will chase cats
Major is a lovely dog, just not a good fit for our home as we have small children. He is very sweet! A total cream puff! And a complete failure as a guard dog. (He will hide behind you.lol) He needs a GSD experienced home. Preferably with no children. Older children/ teenagers who are dog savvy would probably be okay. We adopted him from an older couple who traveled a lot so he was alone on a chain too often. We have gotten him up to par physically, as well as with basic training. Now he needs the right home with the patience and time to take him the rest of the way.
