What's up???? Happy go lucky Cricket checking in here!! I am a super cool girl looking for my very own family! Let me tell you a bit about myself and see if I might be the fabulous companion that you have been waiting for. I am a very pretty young lady with a short and tidy coat. (I came to the rescue with a pretty nasty skin infection, but all that has been resolved). I am about 1.5 years old, and weigh approx 65 pounds. Just a perfect size!! I am a very friendly girl, I love people!! I am quite athletic. I LOVE to play with tennis balls, sticks, pine cones, etc. However, I am super excited if you have a frisbee....that is the BEST toy in the world!! I am a very attentive and focused girl too! I want to please, I just need to know what is expected of me! I will usually come when called, and will sit and watch you (I am secretly hoping that you have another tennis ball to throw for me!!) I am happy to just hang out with you in the house too! I am crate trained and very well behaved in my crate! I would love to find an active family to spend time with....a jogging partner would be great. I am a fantastic girl!! Come meet me soon!!
From Foster Mom: Cricket is an exceptional dog!! What a fun girl! She is very people friendly, and exceptionally intelligent. Cricket has a strong desire to please, and would do very well with some formalized training. Cricket has great focus, and would probably do excellent with search and rescue work as a hobby. She is very ball and scent driven. If you throw her toy behind something, or if it rebounds in a different direction, she will sniff and search around until she finds it. Very impressive. Cricket is not a barker. She will whine a bit when she is excited!! Cricket has considerable prey drive, so she will need a kitty free home. Cricket is a bit socially awkward around other dogs. We think that she has not had much interaction with other canines. She wags her tail and acts like she wants to be friends, but can get a bit too dominant if challenged. We are working on this. Cricket seems a bit less reactive to male dogs. At the moment she would probably do best as an only dog. Cricket has more than enough enthusiasm and love to keep a whole family entertained!! Cricket will benefit form some formalized training. She knows "sit" very well. She is prone to jumping up on you when she gets excited----a bit too much enthusiasm! She just needs a bit of "fine-tuning" on her manners. Cricket will be a great addition to some lucky family!
