Hi!! My name is Liam, and I am a big handsome guy looking for a new family! I am a fairly big boy, weighing close to 80 pounds. I am a young guy too, approximately two years old. I am a bit shy when meeting new people, but once I get to know you I'm quite a happy boy. I can't tell you too much about my previous life, but my foster mom says that I was probably a yard dog. I need to learn a bit about house manners and what is expected of me. I am learning quickly, and being a house dog is a lot of fun! I love snuggling on the couch with my foster mom! I currently live with several other dogs. I do much better with the calmer and less dominant ones! I am very happy with my new life, and know that there is a family out there willing to guide me and give me some training to allow me to become the fantastic dog that I am capable of.

From foster mom:

Sometimes you hear the excuses given when people drop a dog off the shelter, and need to shake your head and wonder "what were they thinking?". Such is the case with Liam. He was deposited at the shelter for the offense of either chasing or killing chickens, I'm not sure. Liam is a sweet boy, and was probably just bored or amused by the chickens. Either way, a chicken free home is a must! Liam is a bit timid when he first meets people, and takes a little while to warm up to you. He is also a little bit hand shy, but loves to get petted and rubbed once he gets to know you. Liam is a very strong dog, and will need someone who is able to physically manage him. Liam does take correction pretty well, and does seem eager to please. All he needs is someone to take time with him and show him what is expected. Liam is a fantastic boy, he's going to make a great addition for some lucky family!
