RIN  ~5 years old.  Not good with kids, dogs or cats.

GSRA Adopts in NC, SC, & VA ONLY

Rin’s just a soul whose intentions are good, oh gosh, please don’t let her be misunderstood.

Sweet Rin has a heart of gold and like most German Shepherds LOVES to be with her person or people. She is devoted to her “chosen” person or people and would do best as an only pet. Her fear of new people makes her appear aggressive when meeting strangers. With an experienced handler, she is content to ignore otherwise she will lunge and bark. Rin’s sleek body and high energy make her an excellent running partner. She gets into the “zone” and stays at your side on a loose leash. After a good trail or road run, Rin enjoys relaxing on her dog bed or on the couch (if nobody is looking or you don’t care). But don’t misinterpret her relaxing for laziness. Rin will alert you to any outside activity that she deems unacceptable including delivery folks and squirrels. Oh squirrels, squirrels, squirrels…Chasing squirrels up the trees and out of the back yard is one of Rin’s favorite past times beside tummy rubs.

Rin has been professionally trained in basic commands. But, she will need an experienced GSD owner to reinforce this training as Rin likes to be in charge of the situation and has a very high prey drive. This combination has caused her misunderstandings in the past. Rin will need a home with an experienced GSD owner and no other animals or children. Once you have earned Rin’s trust, she will share kisses and snuggles and will be your faithful companion. Do you have the energy and patience to earn her trust and the right environment to provide Rin a loving forever home?
