Who is ready for a sweet and gentle girl in their life?? Well, Foxie may be the one for you! Foxie is a petite little bi-color who had a very rough start to life. She was picked up as a stray in a rural county area. Scared, emaciated, filthy and matted dull coat and HW positive...she had not experienced a very happy existence up to that point. She had such pleading eyes, we knew she deserved a chance. Foxie has really blossomed since coming into rescue. She recently completed HW treatment, and is now ready to find her new home. Foxie seems pretty good around other dogs, but does not seem quite sure about what to do when they attempt to engage her in play. She also does not seem too interested in cats. we haven't done an "official" face to face cat test, but she has shown no interest in a few feral cats that hang around my place of employment.

Here is what Foxie has to say about herself:

Hello! My foster mom told you a bit about my past. I would rather forget about that and look to the future. I am about 4 years old, so I know the best is yet to come! I am a shy girl. I take a little bit of time to trust you, but once I realize that you are my friend, I will be your best buddy! I am slowly gaining confidence and working towards becoming more outgoing. I love my foster mom and will happily prance around wagging my tail and smiling. I listen very well..if she call me I come right over. After all, she feeds me regular meals and give me a nice warm place to stay, so I want to be sure I am on my best behavior!! I even get to go to work with her, and am a very good girl. I am quiet and non destructive. I enjoy riding in the car too. I may get a little nervous when I get in new situations, but I just look to my foster mom for reassurance. I like to be near, and will smile and give my paw willingly! I am still a bit apprehensive about men...it takes me longer to trust them, but I am working on it! I am also VERY food motivated, so it helps to have treats around when I meet new people! I am a sweet little girl too...I am a bit compact, and weigh about 50 pounds! So what do you think? Do you want to help this shy girl develop into a loyal and loving family member? She is well worth it, she is a delight.
