~HOLLY - 5 months old.  Good with dogs.  Kids and cats TBD.  Needs a companion animal.

Look out world, Miss Holly has arrived!!

Holly is a delightful 5 month old German Shepherd puppy! She has a very pretty silver sable coat, she is gorgeous!! Holly came into the rescue when her original owner developed health issues that rendered him unable to adequately provide for her. He loved her very much, but knew he could not keep her. We assured him that we will find her a fabulous home!

Holly is a very friendly and well socialized pup! She is a big puppy! I use that term literally. She just turned 5 months old, and is already 50 lbs. Wowza! Holly is going to be a BIG girl...she has the potential to mature into a 80-95 pound adult! Holly's ears are not up yet, but they are trying. She has some very funny expressions, as her ears seem to have a mind of their own right now. They have stood up for brief periods of time, but then fall over into the "helicopter" look. Holly still has most of her puppy teeth as well. Holly's ears will most likely end up standing once she finishes teething.

Holly is a big happy girl. She is quite enthusiastic about meeting people. She will try and jump on you in excitement, but corrects easily. Life is all a big new experience for Holly right now!! Holly enjoys tennis balls and toys too. She will happily bound around, but, as is typical for puppies she is easily distracted when something else catches her attention!! Holly knows how to sit and seems very eager to learn. She is a very well adjusted girl. Holly is housebroken, and doesn't seem to mind being crated. Holly would love a family that will take her places and go on adventures!! Holly is very smart, and will watch you with a quizzical expression on her face as if trying to figure out how to communicate with you. Holly will probably do very well with some formal obedience classes to help her understand what is expected of her. She is eager to learn and pretty food motivated.

Holly also seems to enjoy playing with other dogs. She was a bit overwhelmed when she initially met them, but quickly integrated herself into the pack. She loves to run and play chase with them. Holly also loves to wrestle and rough-house as well. Holly does take correction very well from the other dogs. They let her know when she is getting too rambunctious and she will tone it down a notch, (or she will charge off and try to get a different dog to play with her!!) Holly really seems to enjoy the company of other dogs, and seems to follow their lead. Holly would be happiest in a home with another doggie companion to interact with.

Holly is just a delight, and is going to be a great addition for some lucky family.
