DILLON -3 years old. Good with dogs. Cats TBD. Recommend no children. Needs a companion animal.
GSRA Adopts in NC, SC, & VA ONLY
Dillon is a stunning classic black & tan GSD. He is very affectionate and loves being with his human. He is like a shadow and will follow you wherever you go. He loves to crawl on the couch and snuggle close to you, putting his head in your lap. Not much is known about his prior life, but we suspect he didn’t get a lot of human interaction. We believe this because this boy just LOVES to cuddle and hug, he just can’t get enough! He also loves playing with other dogs and really needs to have a companion animal. Dillon really enjoys being outside, going for long walks and playing with his foster siblings so a large fenced in yard would be perfect for him. He might even be up for a little light jogging. He’s starting to understand what toys are and has started to play with them.
Dillon really doesn’t do well being crated or left all by himself but is very well behaved in the house when left to free roam with his other foster siblings. Dillon knows his basic commands and would do well with someone who is willing to continue to work with him. He is very smart and seems to learn quickly.
This cutie pie would do best in a home with people who are experienced gsd owners with good gentle leadership. A home with a playful companion and a fenced in yard where they can run and play. He can get a bit anxious in new situations (going in Petsmart, etc) but does find in his home enviroment. He's like a big puppy who loves to play and be with his family. He does okay with kids at a distance but does get nervous when they try to approach/pet him. He may have had a bad experience with them. For this reason, we recommend no children of any age.
So does this snuggle buddy sound like the right pup for you?
