~10 months old.  Good with older considerate children and dogs.  Cats TBD.

Piper is a super sweet and beautiful GSD mix (probably about 75% GSD). She's still a puppy at around 9 months, but is house-trained, crate-trained, knows her basic commands, and very comfortable inside in the house. Her favorite things are cuddling, playing with her foster sister, cuddling, eating, chasing her tail, playing with her toys, and cuddling! She loves to give love and receive love! We have no idea why anyone wouldn't want to keep this little one safe and sound or why she ended up needing rescued!

Given her age, Piper is very curious and needs some guidance and a watchful eye, but I am confident that she will make a great companion now and as she grows older. She has spurts of energy and will need an active forever home, but she also enjoys curling up beside you with her head on your lap. Even with her active moments, she is surprisingly calm for a puppy. Because it is important to her to cuddle-up next to you and give you all the love that she has, a home that allows pets on their furniture would be best.

She has never shown any aggression toward people or dogs, and she is learning (quickly) that being mouthy and play-biting is not OK. Older children would be better for her because she can be quite playful at times and might be a little too much for toddlers.

A forever home with puppy experience and patience is suggested - although she comes with a lot of pre-training! She definitely likes chewing, but so far has kept it to her toys! She is crated during the day when her foster mom is at work (no more than ~4 hrs at a time), but she may be able to have free range sometime soon. Walking on a leash is not a new concept to Piper, but she will need some work as she likes to see and say hi to everything that passes by - not especially surprising for a puppy!  She is very smart, and would probably show a big difference after a training class or an experienced owner that wants to work with her for a bit.

She does well outside in the yard with her foster sister and has never attempted to jump the fence even with squirrels tempting her on the other side. Piper could probably be an only dog given her pension for people, but she also really likes playing with her foster sister - Bella the GSD.

Overall, Piper is a darling little girl who will love you forever! She will easily slip into your home and into your heart!!!!
