~3 Years old.  Good with older considerate children and dogs and cats.

Update!!!  Zeus is doing great and has learned sit, down and stay.  He now goes into his crate with a lil treat incentive.  There have been no accidents in the house for the last 3 weeks.  He will be getting his Heartworm treatment this Wednesday/ Thursday.

Fortunately for his forever home, Zeus is an awesome dog. He not only will stay when given the command in the house, he will stay when given the command outside with me 40 to 50 feet from him with all the distractions. He always comes when called.  Zeus doesn't pull when walking on the leash. He is always looking back to see where you are and making sure he stays close to you. He has shown very little interest in barking dogs and running squirrels. His goal in life is to spend as much time with his humans as possible and giving and receiving as much love as possible. The first night he was with me, he was laying by my side on the floor with his head resting on my arm. This is just the tip of the iceberg for Zeus. Once his forever family gives him the love and confidence he needs, he will flourish into his full GSD self. I almost forgot. He is a calm laid back dog that loves chilling out with his owner(s). On the fourth day we had him, he had access to the whole downstairs for 8 hrs and didn't destroy, damage or make any messes. Hehehe.. I am writing this as I go. I must also say that he is easily corrected. He has tried to get up on the couch and bed, but he has gotten off as soon as he is corrected.

Zeus does have a few drawbacks, but it is nothing that he can't overcome. He is in the process of being crate trained, but is totally trustworthy outside of the crate when in the house all alone. He doesn't like loud or sudden noises in the house, but he is ok during thunderstorms. So a home with respectful children over 10 to 12 yrs old would be best for him. He is doing good by himself as an only dog. He would also do good with a friend to play with and keep him company if he goes to a working family. That being said, I think he would make some one a great companion dog, also. Finally, he is heartworm positive, but the good news is GSRA will get him treated and healthy again!
