Axel was born in Oct of 2010. In July 2012, he was diagnosed with EPI. This disease is treatable but I am a student and cannot afford the medicine (here is a website with information about treating EPI: http://www.enzymediane.com/ ). The disease does not affect his personality, he is still a fun-loving GSD, definitely the smartest dog I have ever had! He is also extremely athletic, a fantastic swimmer, and LOVES to fetch, especially if it's a frisbee.

He is very obedient, crate trained, and knows lots of tricks! When you talk to him he gives you all of his attention and tilts his head from side to side as he tries to understand you. His trick repitoire includes: sit, stay, bang (shoot him with your hand in the shape of a gun and he "dies"), party (he does a little hop on his hind legs), through (he runs through your legs), circle (he spins in a circle), shake, high five, roll over, and he knows the names of various toys.

He is OK with kids but tends to be more interested in watching them than playing with them.

Currently he is living with another dog and they are good together. When he first meets a dog, he seems very dominant. I am not sure why he does this, I have been socializing him since he was about 2 months old and it's always the same with every new dog. Once he is used to the other dog, and this can take a while, he is totally fine and OK to leave alone with them.

He is fine with cats as long as they don't run... he likes to chase things.

PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT A GSRA DOG. ONLY CONTACT THIS INDIVIDUAL ABOUT THIS DOG. THE CONTACT HAS NO AFFILIATION WITH GSRA AND CANNOT ANSWER QUESTIONS.
