~7 months old. Good with older considerate kids and dogs. Cats TBD.
Shelby is an owner surrender. Unlike some dogs, Shelby has had a great life so far. She was in a loving home who truly took excellent care of her. As a result, she is happy, healthy and raring to go!
Shelby is already a large puppy at approximately 66lbs. She is excellently behaved in the house and gets along with most dogs. She has met the inside kitties and gave them kisses. The outside kitties were a little more intriguing and she did look like she'd like to chase them. Still, being as smart as a whip and still quite young, we are sure that she can be taught to get along with all 4 legged critters.
8/3/12: Words from her foster: We have had Shelby for a week now and she is every bit like her bio above. She is adjusting to the dogs we have in our home. She is playful and easily settles down when we ask her to. Shelby, like all GSDs, craves human attention. She isn’t quite a velcro dog but we think it’s because she has our other pup who wants to play continuously. When they do settle down, she usually lays by our feet, very close to us. She loves to go for walks and does good on the leash. She can be distracted by a passing dog, but easily corrected. She is ready and eager to learn!!! Shelby will make a great pet.
UPDATE 9/4/2012 - Shelby is doing well walking on leash, friendly with all people and other dogs. She is interested in geese!! Maybe a little too interested!
