Meet Smokey Joe! He is a 40-pound shepherd mix, born in November, 2011. He is heartworm negative, up-to-date on all his vaccinations, and is microchipped. Smokey is doing great with house training, walking on a leash and learning good manners. He knows how to sit and wait. He is very good in his crate.

Smokey is currently living with 12 other dogs and has learned to leave the older dogs alone. He currently plays well with the dogs aged 7 to 9. As a puppy who had little social activity until now, he is still learning pack manners, but my pack is training him.

He loves people and belly rubs. He loves hard bones and playing with sticks. Smokey Joe has a gentle mouth with treats. He does well with our 4 cats. 2 of the cats run from him and 2 do not. He will chase the 2 that run, but loses interest quickly. Smokey likes hanging out with his people and tends to stay close. He is a very sweet, fun, and friendly puppy.
