German Shepherd Dog (medium coat) : : Male (neutered) : : Young : : Large
~1.5 years old. Good with Kids, dogs and cats. Should have a companion animal. Wyatt is a 1 to 1 1/2 years old, sable, neutered male, and all German Shepherd! He was turned into a shelter in the sand hills of NC as an owner surrender. He was wild and super skinny in the shelter and it was obvious to us that he had no training/manners at all. He walked in my house like he had never been in one before! His eyes were wide open with wonder. "What is this and that?" He had fleas, worms and heartworms, the trifecta of dog fostering, but he is over all of that now! Ridding him of all these pests has given me much time to get to know this big beautiful boy. He is a vocal player with my pack and he does well with my cats, crate trained and (finally!) house trained. He is young and inquisitive with new things/animals, smart, sweet, and wants to please. He does calm down in the house, he knows rough play is for outside. He likes all kinds of toys would do best with a play buddy dog or two so he can be social and get his energy out with play. He needs a home with a 6' fence, he does not climb but just to be sure that he stays home. He is very sweet with people (no jumping) and loves to go for car rides. He has gained lots of weight, but still needs to gain some more.
