(2 yrs old) Good with dogs and kids. Not good with cats

Sarah's Foster Mom: Sarah is a Velcro dog who likes to follow me around and be involved in everything I am doing. She is so cute, if I am doing something new, she will tilt her head to the side and seems to say, “What are you doing mom, explain this to me?”

Sarah knows how to sit and is learning to accept the crate and leash. She still needs a little work. Sarah is VERY smart and is somewhat of an escape artist if she doesn’t want to be in her crate. Sarah knows how to open the latch; she has watched me do it!

Sarah still needs to work on a couple of things. She is afraid of the vacuum and loves to be overly friendly with the cats. The cats do not like it and they have suggested a home with no cats for Miss Sarah.

Sarah is a laid back dog, but without exercise she can be full of energy. Sarah needs a home where she can get exercise and continue her training.

She is also still a little mouthy. Those of you who have been around a young shepherd know what I am talking about. She has super sensitive skin and voices her protest with gentle nips. She isn’t biting, just saying, “Hey, that is sore!”

Even though cats and other small animals are not her thing, she loves to play with my large dogs. She has not been around small dogs, so that would have to be on a case-by-case basis. She is also good with dog savvy kids. She isn’t a toy dog and isn’t food motivated, but she loves her some peanut butter!

Sarah has come a long way and now tolerates car rides. She is not going to be Thelma to your Louise, but she will go with you.
