About Scout(CL)

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Color: Black and Silver
  • Current Age: 15 Years 9 Months (best estimate)
  • Housetrained: Yes

Scout is a smaller german shepherd. Weighs in at around 59 lbs.
He will be best suited in a house with adults, and no children, or older children.
He was turned into a rescue by some police officers. He was very skiddish around the family, we have two children 4 and 7 and another dog. A small Golden Retriever mix.
Scout does very well when it is just my wife and I at home, otherwise he has his favorite spots to hide and does not like the noise and commotion the smaller children bring into the house.
He is good on the leash, house-broken, crate trained, and will come to his name.
He is a very good dog, we just feel he would be better off in a house where there are not small children.
He is not aggressive, and has never shown any aggression to anyone in the family. I do not think he was ever mistreated. One episode of the Dog Whisperer I saw there was a dog with a similar issue that had been in a crate most of its life. Scout has been outside, and inside and occassionally in a crate for the whole time we have had him. He is doing well for us, again, I think he would be better in a more adult household.
