His paperwork says he’s a BC/German Shepherd mix but I believe he’s a BC/Tervuren or maybe a BC/Groenendael mix. Odie’s coat has been clipped and until it grows back out, it’s hard to tell what Odie is mixed with.

Odie is a wonderful dog who still has a lot of puppy in him. He would love having another dog to play with but could still be happy as an only dog. He’s very human oriented. If I’m in the side yard, Odie is in the side yard. If I’m in the backyard, Odie is in the backyard. He also loves playing ball. If you throw it, he’ll run after it and bring it back. Most of the time he’ll run past you but if you give him time and stand there, he’ll bring it back. Odie also loves peanut butter stuffed Kongs. But what he loves more than anything is his human(s). He likes his foster mom but adores his foster dad.

Odie is crate-trained (stays calmly in there but needs to be coaxed-hot dogs work great) and house-broken. He has good house manners for the most part. The puppy in him can be sneaky. If you have food on the countertop or table, you need to watch him. He might weigh 61 lbs but he’s very quiet when it comes to sneaking food. He shouldn’t be hard to break from that though. He knows what “Aht!” means so if/when you catch him, all you have to say is that word and he leaves it alone. (He’s already getting better at not countersurfing.) And even though he still has a lot of puppy in him, he also has a great “off” switch as well. With a little guidance and patience, Odie will make someone an awesome companion.

Odie is being fostered in Davidson, NC. He is neutered, HW negative and up to date on his shots. He has not been tested around children or cats. For more information, contact Brenda at
