Zeus is a 5 1/2 year old 50lb neutered male german shepherd, collie mix. We know for certain his mother was full-blooded border collie (he was adopted from a veterinarian whose dog had pups), but based on his markings and build we think his father must have some german shepherd blood. He has the sweetest demeanor. Zeus has always been a very lovey and loyal dog. He has lived with other animals his whole life, currently he lives with three cats and they are all very good friends. He gets along great with other dogs as well as children. The only time I have ever seen him growl aggressively was when he was attacked by another dog. Our two year old daughter is his best playmate, and he is always very gentle with her.

Zeus is house broken, and is usually ok in the house for 6-8 hours at a time. He has been trained to stay off the furniture, but usually likes to sleep close to his owners (he currently sleeps in a dog bed outside our bedroom door). He has been neutered and has had regular veterinary care since birth. He is up to date on all vaccines required by WV laws and bordatella vaccine.

Zeus' likes; playing catch, walks, running in open fields, having his back scratched, TREATS!, beneful dog food, playful attention, chewing on toys, being loved on, doggy play dates.
Zeus' needs: flea medicine in the summer, if he doesn't get it he will chew at himself. He also benefits well from a good hair cut in the summer, sometimes he gets hot spots if he is outside in the hot sun for extended periods of time.

Zeus is a wonderful pet and would adapt to any family easily. We are sadly trying to find a new home for him because our new landlords will not allow larger dogs, and we think he would be happier with a family who could give him more attention outside.
