German Shepherd Dog (medium coat) : : Female (spayed) : : Senior : : Large
(10 yr old) Good with male dogs, good for seniors, apartment appropriate, good with kids, cats TBD. Not good with female dogs. UPDATE: The Queen Bee of the QC will be attending the Concord Mills adoption event February 12th. Come see Mother's Little Helper live and at her best! Millie will be giving advice for keeping socks & underwear off the floor, keeping close watch of your human, and how to keep a set of foster brothers in line. Don't miss the sage wisdom of the one & only MILLIE!! IRA, 401k, Pensions...we all look forward to retirement. That is until your former home retires you to the local shelter. This is what happened to Millie, a 10 year old GSD. Fortunately Millie's retirement was spared by German Shepherd Rescue. Millie is an ideal dog; she is intelligent, beautiful, loyal, and well-mannered. Millie does not get on furniture or chew the house down, although, she has chewed a sock or two. Her other hobbies include nosing through the bathroom trash, she tells me she's checking for recyclables. Millie enjoys sunrise & sunset walks with her people, while her days are spent lounging around the house. But if you're up for another walk....this girl is ready! Don't want a walk...grab the keys and lets go for a ride...zoom, zoom.
You see, having a more mature dog has it's advantages. No puppy chewing stage, no teenage angst, no unrequited love. She knows the routine and doesn't mess around. Do you live in an apartment? Don't have a fenced in back yard, but yet yearn to own a majestic GSD? Millie fits the bill perfectly. There will be no waiting around outside in the rain for business to get done. She wants back in the house worse than you do. This girl is no fuss and gets the job done. Millie isn't so crazy about female dogs, but she has done well with my two males. Although Millie is easy-going & low maintenace, I like to describe her as "Large & In Charge." As her foster mom, I feel she would do best as an only child, but another dog isn't out of the question.
I wonder if she really is 10, you see, nothing gets by this girl; think you're going to the kitchen unnoticed....she'll keep you on that diet; think you'll just sneak into the house....she's already waiting for you at the door.
