Update! Felix is thru with his heartworm treatment and ready to find his furever home. He has been with me for 3 months and we have found a wonderful funny silly sweet dog hiding behind his shyness! Turns out he LOVES kitty cats (in a good way). He is great with respectable children. He walks on leash perfectly. He is still shy meeting new people but once he settles in you have the bestest dog ever. He's very low key, just likes to be loved on and know he's first in someone's eyes. Once he learns that he is your #1 his smile lights up the room. At first we thought he would do better with a doggie buddy, but we now realize that he will do just fine being top dog. He's easy going and gets along with my pack and any other 4 legged critter I bring home. He loves his crate..gives him his safe zone. He has learned to give the alarm bark but only when someone comes to the door. He is perfect in every way and if you are ready to see past his shyness and see that spark in his eye then you have found a wonderful furever GSD.

(3 yrs old) Good with dogs and cats. Kids TBD. Does well with Females, needs an companion animal

Hold the Presses Stop the News...Felix has arrived! What a good looking man he is too. We think he looks a little Goth with his dramatic eye makeup..sorta mysterious. We don't know too much about his past except he was running with a gang..when he was caught and locked up. His past has had quite an influence on him..he's having a very hard time coming out of his shell. He isn't too sure of new people or experiences..he must have seen way too much while on the run. He's doing much better but still has a way to go. He needs a family that has alot of time to spend with him and the kindness to work with him on his shyness. He would do better with a buddy that can help him see the good in people and the fun in new adventures. He's a dream on leash as long as its a quiet walk. You can see in his eyes and his tail wag that he wants so bad to please and trust..its just going to take time and a confident human. He loves a gentle touch and a soft voice. .
Felix is heartworm positive but the Rescue will take care of that. If you think you have the heart and patience to take on this beautiful mystery man just fill out an application and he will be in touch with you
