Jake is a sweet, loving three year old GSD. I rescued him from the pound when he was 6 months old. I quickly realized he had not been socialized with people or animals, so I sent him to "school" where he learned to sit, stay, lay down and heel. He also learned some social skills, but it is still a work in process. He is nervous when he first meets new people and dogs. Once he is familiar all he wants to do is play and get loved on! Jake also has a lot of energy. An ideal situation would be if he had lot of land to run and a playmate to run with. An ideal owner would have strong, but gentle training skills since he tends to lunge and charge when he first meets another dog (we're still working on that). Overall he has come a long way since I got him. I have been forced to move into a condo where he exceeds the HOA weight limit. We are currently flying under the radar, but I need to find him a good home as he can't be here permanently. Please email me at joann@bigfishcharlotte if you are interested in knowing more about Jake.
