(3-5 yrs old) Good with dogs, cats, and kids

Henry aka Hank is the BEST dog EVER. We call him Hank because he is a "Good ole boy". We don't know much about Hank's past. He was found at a gas station and taken to a nice vet. The vet tested Hank for diseases and found him to be very healthy. He was given his shots and neutered and turned over to the Rescue. He loves all people and other dogs. He as never met a stranger and is eager to meet everyone. He is very people-focused and loves being with his humans. Hank is energetic and does best with a morning and afternoon walk, he is great on the leash. He is very content to lay at your feet after his walk. Hank likes to press himself on you and give you hugs. He also likes to give kisses. He is big, so a home with older children would probably be best. Even though he means well, Hank could knock a younger child down by accident.

Speaking of accidents, Hanks has never had one in the house! He came to our house and immediately learned the doggie door. After his first night in his foster home, he earned the run of the house. Now, he and his foster sister take care of the house during the day and at night, when they are not playing.

About playing, Hank loves to play with his foster sister. They like to wrestle and chase in the backyard. He does get a little possessive of his food, but he is easily corrected. Then he goes back to being everyone's best friend, well almost everyone. Hank would like to get to know our cat, but our cat does not want to get to know him. Hank respectfully backs away when the cat tells him to back off. He really just wants to sniff the kitty. He is very gentle.

Hank LOVES treats. He already knows sit, come and down. I think he will be very easy to train. Hank is very smart and just wants to please his humans. I think he was someone's pet, as he is so well-behaved and displays no signs of having been mistreated. Hank is a big love bug who would love to sit in your lap. Won't you give Hank a lap to sit on? He would love you forever!
