What is your dog's favorite treat? Maybe a liver snap or a dog bone or a piece of dried chicken? Laci, a seven year old girl loves carrots and ice cubes as a treat! It's also nice to have a little bit of turkey with her kibble. Now that's a low calorie and healthy diet! Laci is good with cats and with kids who are about seven years of age and older. She is good with boy dogs (she lived with one in her prior home) but can be a little too bossy with female dogs. After all, there is nothing wrong with being the queen! She is housebroken and uses the doggie door. If there doesn't happen to be a doggie door, she will politely stand by you to get your attention. Laci rides very nicely in the car and is great at the vet. When one of our volunteers took her to the vet for vaccinations, she was quick to follow instructions about crating and being weighed. She also enjoyed all the attention she received from staff at the clinic. Laci likes a bath from time to time and doesn't object t o having her ears cleaned. What about toys? She likes the kind in which you can hide treats and she loves to play fetch. Laci is protective but in a positive way and is okay with strangers so long as she is properly introduced. And how can you resist a girl who is not only affectionate but who poses well with her front paws crossed one over the other when she is lying down?

The minimum adoption donation ranges from $300 to $400. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible.

Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
