(10 yrs old) Good with dogs and cats, and kids.

Hello, my name is Nicholas and I am new to GSRA. I spent my whole life chained to a dog house and I didn't know there was anything else. Then one day, a nice lady came and took me away.

I now live in a house with 3 dogs and a cat. My foster mom says I am funny because I play with toys like a puppy. She said it was because I didn't have a good puppihood so I am having it now! I LOVE it here! I get to live in the house; I only had one accident and my mom just took me outside (that was all I needed to learn). I get food twice a day and no one steals it from me and I even get chewies after dinner by the fire!

My foster mom says I am just the sweetest dog. I play nice with my foster brothers and sister and I am learning to walk on a leash. I never did that before so it is taking me some time to learn that trick.  I have a cat and I have gotten in trouble with the cat a couple of times. I thought it would be fun to chase. My mom got very upset with me and the cat HIT ME!!! Well, I now just sniff and walk behind the cat when he isn't looking. I learned my lesson. Mom says that if I go to a home with a cat the people will need to watch me and explain the rules and I will be fine.

Note from foster mom:

Nicholas is a wonderful and beautiful dog. He will make the right people a perfect dog. When he first came to me he had difficulty walking. He lost his balance a lot. I quickly discovered he had no muscles in his legs. Now, with daily walks and lots of play with the other dogs, Nicholas has built the muscles up and now has no trouble walking. He still takes 150 mg of Rimadyl a day for his hips.

Nicholas would love to go to a home with other nice dogs. I am sure he will be fine with kids, but I have not had an opportunity to test that. Nicholas seems to like all adults and will eagarly go to them for love.

I don't think Nicholas was physically abused, but he was neglected.

If you would like a good looking man in your life, Nicholas is the one for you!
