(18 months old) good with Dogs. Not good with cats or small dogs. Kids TBD.

Ilse ("ill-zuh") is a beautiful 18 month old GSD female. She's spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, heartworm negative and has a gorgeous coat.

She's very sweet, energetic and loves to play with her 4yo GSD foster brother. Her manners are a bit rough (like a typical GSD puppy): she jumps up, mouths and gets VERY excited/affectionate when people come home. Ilse loves attention and is very eager to please, she's working hard on her manners and making great progress. She is very smart and picks up new routines/commands very quickly.

She's a very loving dog, and has no fear of everyday noises/activities. She's a quiet dog, and only barks when her foster brother greets the UPS man. She plays very hard and very well with her foster brother, they tug on toys, run around the yard, wrestle and have a lot of dog fun.

Ilse's crate trained, 100% house trained, walks well on a leash, and knows basic sit, come etc. commands. She's very intelligent and eager to please, so she'll need a lot of positive training and exercise. Ilse seems to have no fear of thunder, vacuum cleaners,

Given her enthusiasm and rough manners, she should only live with older children. She'd do great with another dog who likes to play and can tolerate some puppy-like behavior.

Ilse would do best where she has a fenced yard and a lot of daily activity, both mental and physical. She has a lot of potential, so training classes and daily training will ensure she continues to develop.
