(4 years old) Saycruh is very new to GSRA! Her debut was at the Animall in Cary 7-10-10! When we got her she was completely emaciated and is working very hard in her foster home to put on weight, and she is doing very well. Saycruh's foster mom is very fond of German Shepherds from the Gaston County Animal Shelter and Saycruh comes as no surprise! She was ONLY given 3 days and then was to meet the fate of so many others which is to be gassed. Thank goodness for a wonderful volunteer who saved her! Okay, so what is this gorgeous beauty all about you ask? Well, she is completely house trained, loves being with people and giving kisses not to mention she is super with her 2 senior GSD companions and two kids who are 3 and 6! She is completely KID TESTED MOTHER APPROVED. She is so gentle and is quiet and calm in the house and often likes to just lay in your lap! She would like to sleep in your bed, if you are okay with that, and might start off there, bu t typically goes to her doggie bed and crashes out for the night. She is a real snuggle bug and I can't say that enough. She does well taking baths, being around loud noises, vacuum cleaners, blenders, you name it she is calm! She would do best with a home without cats, she probably had to survive too long on the streets not to realize that cats can be friends. Saycruh walks very well on the leash with no pulling or lunging at vehicles and has great recall. She will also sit on command and waits for all her food, she likes a treat before bedtime. She is just one super dog and there is NO doubt that she was a looker today despite the fact she needs to put on some weight, but her foster mom is a pro at helping with that! Saycruh can be by herself or with the company of other dogs. She really does not seem to care for the companionship one way or the other, just as long as her people are there! She appears to go with the flow and likes a constant routine. She will bond very quickly with her family as she has done here. She will let you know when she needs to go outside and loves to go for walks in the neighborhood and this is a must! Saycruh will be tightly screened. We just lost a very dear member of our pack and Saycruh has done her best to fill this void in our house, and therefore, will go to the home of her choosing with the guidance of her foster mom. If you saw her today, you know these pictures don't do her justice. She is not photogenic, she prefers to chase bugs outside and lounge around the house. So, if you are up for a dog that would be a great first timer for a new GSD lover, Saycruh is your girl!!!!! Or, if you just want a great dog, fill out the application now... what are you waiting for?????
