From Hercules:
HI GUYS!!!! I'm about 6-9 months old it's a real guessing game trying to determine my age. The rescue originally guessed 3 to 4 months, while the shelter I was left at guessed 5 months. Was taken to the Vet to get up to date on all my shots and everything and they guessed 8 months about a month ago. I like to play, but I have quiet moments too. I cry when left in my crate so it's better that my crate be in the bedroom with my people. I'm a cuddle bug!! I love to cuddle and have room to run. Though there's a lot of funny noises when it comes to being in a home, but my mommy will tell you more about that! I am friendly with cats! I like to sniff them but when I first came to my foster home I completely ignored them but had fun when they would walk in front of my crate to get to their cat food. I'd wait till they get just in front of my crate then bark at them and make them jump and run away! Completely hilarous to me but mommy didn't find that to funny.....:(....lol...
From foster mom:
It's unclear whether Hercules was left with his brother (Jack) at the shelter as a shelter turn in by their prevous owner or whether they were simply found wandering the streets. We suspect that they've had little to no human contact, they came in not knowing that hands are meant to pet them. Hercules is still on the skinny side but he's making up for it lol, he's putting on more weight everyday thank goodness! Now he's a complete social bug! He loves being the center of attention, right next to your side the whole time. He'll follow you around the house as your doing your daily chores. He is not completely house broken, though he hasn't had an accident in the house in two weeks. He just has to be taken out regularly throughout the day. He sleeps in his crate just fine. Though he does get spooked rather easily, any noise will send this guy running to the other side of the house. He is scared of thunderstorms, he's fine if the rain is a light rain and the thunder is far away but if it's close thunder and rain loud on the roof expect him to be in lap shaking! He'll accidently knocks things over with his tail, like a half full bottle of water. The thump it makes when it hits the floor will send Hercules running for Olympus! He still has to get neutered and that will be done soon. He is not aggressive with other dogs though being introduced to other dogs needs to be done CAREFULLY!!! And he needs to be watched during play time just in case!!! He's really skittish when in new situations and gets stressed easily. I would like to see him go to a home that does have another dog that is still playful to further help his socialization. That's about all now. Thanks!!!!
