Arrr, d'you 'ave a bit o space in yer 'earts an 'omes for a scurvy but loveable dog like me? Captain Jack is going to make some family very lucky! Cap'n is eagerly learning to live inside a house with a family that has three young children. He has been great with the kids from day one. Jack is doing great with potty and crate training. At first he seemed afraid of all the dog toys and balls but is now playing and chewing on them and after spending a day with another gsd rescue has learned to fetch. He loves going on leash walks but needs to learn restraint when encountering other dogs. He has done great with the female gsd that came to visit and the two male labs we are dog-sitting but he is a little over-bearing when first meeting other dogs. We are still working on not chasing the cat... Although Cap'n is young, he seems pretty laid back and just happy to hang out with his people. Jack still needs to be neutered so he will probably be even more happy-go-lucky after that procedure. Cap'n Jack is gorgeous and has lovely soft fur and is sweet and loves to be petted and brushed. He is looking for a family that will continue to love, play with, and spoil him and continue his training to be a true Captain. Cap'n weighs about 45 lbs and needs to put on some weight and will fill out over the next year or so but he is not going to be a big gsd. He has a HUGE heart to give though.

Jack was an owner surrender to an NC shelter because the owner was concerned about the cost vet care.
