Larkin is a long haired German Shepherd mix, 65lbs. He’s around 3.5 years old, good disposition, loves to play. He’s really good with cats, dogs (after a proper intro), and respectful children. I’ve had him for 2.5 years, he was a rescue. After some health issues in the last few years, I’ve realized that it’s become too much for me to keep up with him. I’m very sad about this decision because he really is a great dog. He’s pretty good on the leash, he is a little reactive to other dogs on leashes. He has a great, sweet disposition, always willing to be pet and he always wants to be by your side. He generally is pretty calm in doors, and he is house trained. He eats a wet food/dry food mix, and he needs to stay on this diet. Dry food alone isn’t good for his bowel movements. He loves dog parks as well. If it weren’t for my health issues, I would never consider giving him up. I really want to find a good responsible family to give him to. Doesn’t have to be a family with a fenced in yard, he would do fine in an apartment. He doesn’t like the crate, he likes to be free to roam around, doesn’t have to be the whole house, I just keep him in my room and he’s fine with that. I have two cats and he gets along with them very well. He has never met a person he doesn’t like, he will bring strangers toys to play with him with. He definitely has the goofy male GSD personality as opposed to the more serious stoic personalities you sometimes see with his breed. He is neutered and up to date on all vaccinations.
