Sophie is estimated to be about 2 years old and is on the smaller side (56 lbs) for a GSD. She's low/medium energy, docile, and curious. Sophie never had an accident in the house during five weeks with her foster. She recently has learned to walk wonderfully in heel position on a leash alongside a confident handler (and stop on a dime with the "stay" command). She's vaccinated, heartworm negative, and will need to be spayed.
Despite having a rough start as a stray at a local kill-shelter, Sophie is sweet, easy to redirect, and quick to bond. She's nervous about getting into vehicles but has excellent manners as a backseat passenger. Sophie can become restless and anxious when left alone for long stretches. She needs a home with an experienced owner, a reliable routine, and preferably no young children.
