REMY ~6 years old. Good with older considerate kids, dogs and dog savvy cats.

GSRA adopts to residents of VA, NC, and SC only.

Please let me introduce you to this adorable sweet girl. Remy is 6 years old and as sweet as they come. She can be a little shy but warms up nicely. She is a loving girl who will come up to you for a little love and wagging her tail with joy when you pet her. She has a calm nature. She loves getting out for walks and exploring new things.  Remy spent most of her life in a pen so never had a chance to go for walks or car rides unless it was to the vet. When I brought her home and we went for our first walk, she was so excited, smelling everything and had a big smile on her face. She was like a kid in a candy store.  She also seems to enjoy going for a car ride and does very well in the car.

Remy loves the water and goes in the kiddie pool throughout the day.  When I took her for a walk to a creek, she couldn’t wait to get her paws wet. Lol  She has slowly started to show a little interest in toys. She has free reign 24/7 in the house with my other two pups and has done very well.  She is house-broken and enjoys sleeping on one of the dog beds.  She has done well with both of my male dogs and tested fine with a female.  She was tested with cats and didn’t seem to have any interest in them. (see video below) Of course slow intros are always best.  She does have some prey drive but has corrected easily on the walk when a rabbit ran out.  She doesn’t seem to show much interest in the goats we have.

Remy is overweight and we are working to help her lose a few pounds. This will take time, so she will need a family willing to continue to work with her.  She is learning to walk on a leash and is doing well but she will need a family to continue to help her learn.

Remy would do fine with a companion dog or as an only dog if someone was around.  She has been around kids but I think she would do better with older considerate ones.  I think a lot of running and playing would be a lot for her. She will need a fenced yard and someone to show her love and patience.

So, do you think this loveable girl might be what you are searching for?
