MUPPET ~ 8 months old. Good with dogs & older considerate kids. Ok with Dog Savvy Cats. Needs a companion animal.

GSRA adopts to residents of VA, NC, and SC only.

Who is this adorable little munchkin, you ask? Let me introduce you to this sweet girl, Muppet. She is a wonderful 8 month old puppy who will melt your heart. She is a loving girl who loves to cuddle and to be close to her family. She will be your shadow and follow you anywhere.  Muppet is a typical puppy; fun, playful and full of life. She loves going for walks, hikes or whatever adventure life holds. She enjoys going for car rides. To me, she lights up a room with her wonderful personality. She is moderately active but also knows how to settle down.

Muppet loves playing with other dogs but she can be a bit “up in their face” and not all pups care for that.  She can be a little pushy when she first meets a new dog but all she wants is for them to play with her. So she is a bit socially awkward.  She has free roam 24/7 with my pup and has done well. Muppet does have a prey drive its best she has a home without farm animals.  Muppet was cat tested (see video) and didn't show any interest in the cats at the shelter.  So I believe she will do okay with dog savvy cats.

Muppet was a stray that wondered up to a nice family’s house, hungry.  They took her in until a rescue could be found.  ESC worked with the family and reached out to GSRA.

Muppet is an adorable fun-loving puppy.  She is working on learning manners and commands (and doing well) but she will require a home willing to continue her training so she can become the amazing dog she is. She is a smart girl and food motivated which is great when training. A fenced yard is required. Because of her energy, she will do best in a home with a playful companion that loves to play.  I haven’t had her around children but with her personality, I think she would do okay with older considerate kids.  Because she is a puppy and still a little mouthy and jumps some, its best she not go in a home with small kids so she doesn’t knock them over.

So do you think this adorable pup might be the one for you?

PLEASE NOTE: It is GSRA policy that we do not adopt dogs under the age of 1 year to families with children under the age of 8 years old.
