LADY ~8 months old. Good with dogs. Kids and cats TBD. Hi everyone, my name is Lady and I’m here looking for my new forever family. Let me tell you about my sad start in life, see I had a family, and one day they told me they were going to take me to the groomer to make me even prettier, and then they never came back for me. I was so sad; I didn’t understand what I did wrong. Maybe I wasn’t pretty enough for them. Thankfully, some lovely workers at the groomers took me home and cared for me until they could find a rescue that would truly understand my inside and outside beauty. So now I’m with GSRA, I’m excited to to show you what I’ve learned so far. In just a few short days I have learned to be an excellent leash walker after NEVER been on a leash before! I love going for a walk, there’s so much to snuff and see. My foster mom took me to the park to practice and everybody that saw me stopped to say how well behaved AND pretty I was. It made me feel proud, I held my head high and had a bounce in my step. So now I know it wasn’t my fault I got left by my original family. There’s lots of learning to do in my foster home, I’m learning to live with a bunch of dogs, I’m learning how to play appropriately with those dogs. I’m learning how to share the toys and boy does all that learning make me tired, I sleep quietly all night long in my crate. My foster mom says I’m so amazingly smart and that makes me happy. So let me tell you what I dream my perfect home would look like: It would have humans who love me, who like to get out and about and hike - I love to explore. I would love a doggy friend or two to play with, but don’t necessarily need them to live in the home, play dates would be okay. I am excellent at playing by myself with my basket of toys. If I don’t have doggie brothers and sisters, I would really like my humans home a lot during the day so I don’t get lonely. I also need a fenced yard because I’ve got lots of wiggle energy to burn. That’s all for now, I hear foster mom getting the leash so I’m off to learn some more!! Can’t wait to meet you and show you how smart I am! Bring a treat or a ball, I love both. Lady’s Foster: This young girl has endless potential. She’s building her confidence out in the world and has quickly learned pack life. She will keep you entertained watching her play with her toys. She is a high energy girl with a solid ball drive. She’s good with large and small dogs and likely will be okay with dog savvy cats. Good with older children but still a little too jumpy/mouthy for small children. Lady’s a happy, silly puppy who loves life. Come meet her soon, she won’t last long. PLEASE NOTE: It is GSRA policy that we do not adopt dogs under the age of 1 year to families with children under the age of 8 years old.
