Introducing Tucker - a delightfully fluffy guy who has a zest for life and a heart as big as Texas!!!! Tucker was found as a stray by a kind person who contacted GSRA. One look at this handsome fella with such loving eyes and we knew he had to come into the GSRA family.

Tucker will stop your heart with his good looks and playful nature. After that, he will melt your heart with his earnest desire to be right by your side. Tucker is a “people dog.” He has never met a stranger and does wonderfully with adults and children. Sometimes he gets so excited to meet a new friend that he will jump up on them, but he is learning his manners and is well on his way to being a canine gentleman.

Tucker is very eager to meet and play with other dogs. However, at times he is a little too enthusiastic in his desire to make a new doggie friend and doesn’t take the time to read the other dog’s social cues. Tucker’s style is to rush up to another dog and nose bop them in greeting. His play style is also kind of awkward and he doesn’t always take the hint when a dog is telling him to back off. That said, Tucker doesn’t have an aggressive bone in his body, he’s more like that annoying little brother or sister who won’t leave you alone. For this reason, Tucker will need (and would honestly love) a canine companion who can be patient yet playful with him. He’s a very smart guy, so it won’t take him long to work out the proper way to mingle with other dogs.

You’ve probably gathered by now that Tucker is an “extrovert” when it comes to all things in life. He has a lot of energy and will need a home with a large, fenced in yard. Tucker loves playing ball and will keep the game going until you’re exhausted, or your throwing arm has fallen off! He loves going for walks and he is an expert car rider. Tucker would love an active family who likes going places and wants a friendly boy to go along with them. He is a furry social butterfly and loves seeing new things, smelling new smells and meeting new people. He is your perfect coffee shop partner. And like the good boy he is, at the end of the day, Tucker is happy to relax on a dog bed next to you and is a very peaceful sleeper.

Although Tucker may not look like your typical shepherd, he has the heart of one and the sheppie trait of wanting to learn and to please his person. He will attach to you very quickly and will be your most loyal companion. He is happy and playful and a joy to be around. If you’re looking for an energetic and enthusiastic dog to go through life’s adventures with, then Tucker is your guy!
