German Shepherd Dog / Mixed (long coat) : : Male (neutered) : : Young
TEACH ~10 months old. Good with older, considerate kids and dogs. Cats TBD. GSRA adopts to residents of VA, NC, SC Edward Teach is a young, happy boy, ready to go treasure hunting with an active family. "Teach" is a typical 10 month old, 90 pounds of "I haven't quite gained control of my very squirmy body". He's a very happy boy who loves ear scratches and snuggles. Teach is fully house broken, and friendly with other dogs. He does act his age and hasn't quite distinguished between plushy = okay to chew and mom's shoes = not okay to chew. Teach has been learning basic commands with his foster family and is coming along. He does best to have short, undistracted training sessions. (WAS THAT A SQUIRREL?) He's a good car rider and a decent leash walker. Sometimes Teach protests when he is put in his kennel, but he settles quickly. Potential adopters should know that even though Teach looks full grown, he's still very much puppy. He wants a lot of attention, exercise, and play time. Whatever other breed Teach is, will likely require more frequent grooming than a typical German Shepherd. Edward Teach thinks it's a pirate's life for him, but we think he'll realize he's a one family kind of pup.
