German Shepherd Dog / Mixed (short coat) : : Female (spayed) : : Young
VEGA ~5 months old. Good with kids and dogs. Cats TBD. Vega was adopted at the local shelter by a couple who had a older Chihuahua. They adopted her as a companion dog and it soon became apparent that she was too much for the older pup and apartment living. Vega is a fun, determined young girl. She is very curious and gets involved quickly with her surroundings. She plays with dogs that are three times her size and never backs away. She has alpha tendencies so I feel like she should not go in a home with an alpha dog. She will take a toy away from my big docile shepherd without blinking an eye. She loves riding in cars, playing with all toys and playing in a small creek (swampy goo does not look good on her beautiful white coat) She will do great in a home with a companion dog, but it is not necessary. She will also do well in a family that is active and keeps her brain challenged. At night, she settles down quickly and just wants to snuggle. She is treat motivated and is easily trained. Overall, I think she will be a more petite shepherd mix and will be a smaller stature shepherd. PLEASE NOTE: It is GSRA policy that we do not adopt dogs under the age of 1 year to families with children under the age of 8 years old.
