Meet Riley, an 8 month old purebred plush coat German shepherd. Riley is going to be a very big boy and is already 55 pounds. He was found wondering on the side of the road and was nervous and scared when he came to us. He has flourished being in a home with his foster pack and taking their cues learning that people are fun. He now enjoys meeting new people, although can be bit hesitant at first.  

Riley would do best in a home with a well-behaved companion animal where he can play and continue to build his confidence. Riley knows his basic commands and enjoys training especially when treats are involved. He enjoys his daily outings and walks well on leash. He gets super excited to go on car rides. He’s a very sweet and playful boy. He has been going to doggie daycare to help build his confidence and he loves it. 
 
Riley needs to go to a home with people who have owned German shepherds as an adult.   He has started exhibiting German shepherd behaviors and an experienced handler will be needed to guide him through to make good decisions. He is very intelligent and listens well. Riley is the typical puppy and can be a bit mouthy when playing so he will not be placed in a home with children under 16 years old. Riley has been exposed to cats and does well with older cats under close supervision. 
 
Riley is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, on monthly heart worm preventative, crate trained, housebroken and has basic obedience training. Adoption requirements for Riley: EXPERIENCED German shepherd owners who have the time to continue his socialization, training and give him needed exercise. A dog companion that is confident and playful. A secure fenced in yard.
