GSRA adopts to residents of VA, NC, and SC

High energy, young, athletic female, super friendly and somewhat spastic seeking family with similar traits to join for love and happiness and adventures in life

Introducing Raven. This is a 6 to 7 month old German Shepherd puppy, and true to the breed, she exhibits all of the above behaviors. She seems to have exceptional drive and energy. For anyone who has seen the show Seinfeld back in the day, Raven is very similar to Kramer. She enters a room at full speed, all legs moving, not quite sure where she’s going or what her purpose is, but she’s here with enthusiasm and energy. She happily slides around the house anxiously trying to get to her next spot 30 seconds ago! She’s a riot. She’s a very friendly girl, and her happiness knows no bounds. She could really use a job. She’s always grabbing something with her mouth, everything is a potential play toy. She can’t get out of the house without grabbing something to take with her: a shoe, a dish towel, A random piece of fruit that she grabs off the counter while she does a flyby. Imagine having a five-year-old that you gave a double mocha latte to, and then let them chase it with a full-size Red Bull. There you have Raven!

All joking aside, she is a very energetic and fun dog. She Needs a person or family that will give her something to do and focus her and let her channel her energies. She is going to be a brilliant dog with the proper guidance and training.

Raven also loves other dogs. Her favorite game is to just engage in a game of chase and tackle and wrestle. She also loves tennis balls, sticks, or any other item that she can find in the yard to carry around! She will prance around very proudly with her prize. She does take correction very well from the larger dogs when she gets a little too rambunctious. I would really prefer for her to go to a home with another energetic dog to help with her exercise and to show her appropriate behavior!

Raven Will probably not be a very big dog when she matures. She is about 6 to 7 months old now and is about 40 pounds. I expect she will be in the 60 to 65 pound range when she is fully grown.

Raven has considerable prey drive. She will chase just about anything, so at this point I do not think a home with cats is a good idea unless the family is willing to really work with her.

Raven is housebroken and crate trained. She is a very fun girl and is going to make one lucky family very happy!

It is GSRA policy that we do not adopt dogs under the age of 1 year old to families with children under 8 years old.
