LEX ~3 years old. Good with dogs. Kids TBD. Not good with cats.

GSRA adopts to residents of VA, NC, and SC only.

Lady Lexi is awaiting her new family and forever home. This beautiful girl was found as a stray and taken to the shelter where GSRA was able to rescue her and help her with skin and ear infections. She has amazing house manners, is crate trained, knows her basic commands (still working on down), and walks well on a leash. She does have a high prey drive so homes with smaller dogs, cats, chickens are not a good fit for this sweet and loving girl.

From Lexi's perspective: I have settled right in with the house routine, and I'm told doing very well! I love to just hang out with my foster people when they finally sit down at the end of the day. We go on walks every day, and I even met a small dog and we touched noses! Still, I wouldn't trust myself around any small creatures - it's too tempting....

My foster parents say I am a pleasure to have around and am kind of a goofball now that I am feeling better. I used to chirp a lot because I was so itchy all the time, but now, I only do that if my foster brother gets to go outside and I don't. Bottom line, I am just one happy girl that is now ready for my forever home.

Thank you GSRA for giving me the chance to find my new home and life!

Lexi will do best in a home with a family that has a lot of time to spend with her, and life to give her lots of attention! A confident male dog of her approximate size or bigger would be the best companion for her. She’s got an infectious smile and a happy personality that will give you years of love and entertainment! Come meet her soon, she’s not going to last long. She’s going to make a great addition to some lucky family.
