CASSIDY ~1-1.5 years old. Good with kids and large dogs. Not good with cats or small dogs.
GSRA adopts to residents of VA, NC, and SC only.
Cassidy is a sweet, fun loving girl! She is a petite, bright and happy girl with a lot of love to share. She enjoys her cuddles, getting her teeth brushed, and her squeaky toys.
Cassidy was brought to GSRA as a suspect hit-by-car case that was found by animal control with severe pelvic and hip damage. Through the help of her team of surgeons and physical therapists, she is making a slow and steady recovery to regain proper mobility of her back legs.
She has a very youthful and energetic personality and loves to be right next to her people at all times. She earned herself the rightful nickname "jackal" due to her alert and slightly mischievous nature. She does enjoy nosing her way into things and will need a patient and puppy-proofed home while she matures.
Cassidy does very well with medium and large dogs and loves hanging out with her fellow physical therapy dog friends. However, she does have some boundary reactivity in her crate and on a leash with all dogs. She does well with larger more confident puppies, but is absolutely not suitable for a home with cats or small dogs due to her high prey drive.
She is great with people and kids on proper introduction, but is mildly cautious of strangers.
Cassidy is a phenomenal girl with a very bright spirit and a love for all who will give her any sort of affection. She is very sensitive to correction and needs a home that understands the benefit of positive reinforcement in the continuation of her training. She is eager to learn and extremely food motivated. Cas has been a pleasure to have and to work with, we are very excited for her future!
