KOKO ~1-2 years old. Good with older considerate children and dogs. Cats TBD. Needs a companion animal.
GSRA adopts to residents of VA, NC, and SC only
Koko has been on the move quite a bit in the last five months. She went from a backyard breeder, to her permanent home, and then came to the rescue. She is a very good dog that has had a lot of chaos in her life lately. The ideal home for her would be a home with a backyard to run and play in. She would also do good in a condo, but she does bark/ whine for a while when you first leave. That is why an apartment setting might not be good for her. Koko definitely needs an outlet for her energy. Whether it would be hiking, running, playing ball or wrestling with her siblings. She loves playing with any kind of ball and is learning that dog toys can be fun, also. She will play with her human, but she will mouth when she plays. Koko hasn't out grown some of her puppy ways. Koko is crate trained and will willingly go into her crate. When she comes out, it takes her a little bit to release her energy. Her ideal home would have older children in it because she is a bigger dog at 82 lbs. We are working on her not jumping up on people. She will need a strong leader in either her human or her pack. Koko can be unsure in certain situations and looks for leadership in how to handle the situation. Like most dogs that come to the rescue, Koko is a diamond in the rough that is looking for some one to spend some time with her.
