Loki is a 60 pound, 3 year old full blooded German Shepherd. He is neutered, housebroken, crate trained, leash and E collar trained, and knows some commands like sit, stay, and here. We rescued him 2 years ago from the Humane Society- he had been taken from his owner due to abuse. Despite the abuse, he is very friendly, outgoing, loving, and loves people. He likes car rides, walks, hikes, and snuggling. We are completely heartbroken to have to re-home him, but as he has become an adult he has begun showing aggression to and fighting with our 90 pound alpha male. My husband and I have been bitten trying to intervene in the fights. He is great friends with our 3 other dogs, but does not get along with the alpha. For this reason, he needs to be in a single dog home, or a home with a non dominant dog. He also chases squirrels, so likely would not do well with cats. He has been around a few kids and has shown no aggression, but I would not be comfortable adopting him to a home with kids. He is a very loving and cuddly dog, but is also a wonderful guard dog and would protect his family from any threats. His one other issue is barking, but an E collar or bark collar has worked well for that. Loki is a very special boy who had a hard start to life but who has been very loved since. He has maintained his joyful outlook on life and wants nothing more than to be with and love on his humans. Please contact us if you feel you could give Loki a loving home. PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT A GSRA DOG. ONLY CONTACT THIS INDIVIDUAL ABOUT THIS DOG. THE CONTACT HAS NO AFFILIATION WITH GSRA AND GSRA CANNOT ANSWER QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS DOG.
