Angus was recently owned by my boyfriend's parents but due to an unfortunate circumstance they have passed away and we are currently caring for Angus and his daughter Daisy. Before this situation, we had plans to move and while we still plan on doing so, we wish to re-home these two. As much as we would love to take them with us, we have learned we are not ready to take care of a dog, much less two large dogs. We have noticed that they don't feel comfortable being apart for too long and we worry this might cause a problem. We hope we can send them to a forever home together but we understand that it might not be possible.
All we know is that these dogs need love and attention. They need someone with patience and someone who can give them proper training. Hopefully, someone who could put the time and effort into them, they are smart, silly, and loving and I know that they can make someone happy. Let me tell you about Angus; Angus is a handsome dog! His eyes are a warm amber color and his coat is a mix of mainly black and spots of cream and brown! He looks intimidating but he is rather calm and gentle with a protective side. Angus was bought by my boyfriend's family when he was less than a year old, he was raised to be a mate with their older indoor Shepherd, and to be a deterrent to unwanted strangers and animals. Angus has spent a good part of his life outside and while I think he would be fine outdoors, I believe with training he would make a wonderful indoor dog. If he is outdoors, I believe he would do well with a large yard so he can stretch his legs and wander around. He loves to run, he almost tends to gallop like a horse across our backyard. We do not have any medical records for Angus other than papers stating he was neutered at the age of two. He does not like to share his toys and will often hide them but he will not resist if you take them away unless you are playing tug-a-war. Angus also loves to be brushed, especially his back hips! He also loves neck scratches! Unfortunately, Angus does not have any socialization outside of our family and we worry that he might not do so well with children, strangers, other dogs, and animals. This isn't to say he is aggressive or would do bad, we just are not sure at the moment how he deals with the things. While he does well with Daisy, we are not sure he would do well with other male dogs. We do love him but we believe he would do better with a smaller family with older kids, a single person, a couple, or somebody who just doesn't have any other pets. This situation allowed us to see a side we didn't expect from him. Just from the small amount of time we have gotten to hang out with Angus, we have been wowed and amazed by his simple behavior. That isn't to say he is boring but rather he doesn't have that wild nature we were worried he would have, a type of behavior that would make adoption hard for him. We are thankful and sad that we didn't get to know this sooner because Angus is a beautiful dog. We hope that some else will come to appreciate and to love how cool this dog is. These dogs are family and we hope to find them the best home possible. Thank you. PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT A GSRA DOG. ONLY CONTACT THIS INDIVIDUAL ABOUT THIS DOG.
